Posting the message again... I have XP installed on my machine. Becoz of virus I canot boot the machine and need to re install the OS. I have some important data on C drive (where XP is installed). I need to copy that data onto D drive (another Hard drive on same machine). But when I boot the machine in DOS mode using floppies, my D drive is not accessible. D drive is not NTFS so, so the programs at http://www.ntfs.com/products.htm is not useful. I need a program which will work on DOS and will transfer from NTFS to FAT (D drive) How can I access my D drive?
Firstly this is an XP question and JW has posted warnings to that effect. The NT family of O/S has been designed to use Commanfd Prompt which is not MSDOS, MSDOS is an emulation in the NT Family.
XP questions are best answered in the XP forum (crazy, isn't it?).
This forum deals with questions related to standalone versions of DOS - there is a message prior to posting.
