Creating DOS boot disks

I am trying to figure out how to create a DOS boot disk to boot up a system and connect to a network. This boot disk will ultimately be used to access the network to pull an image file (created from Norton Ghost) down to a local client. Does anyone know how to create this disk to boot up a machine with either NT Workstation or NT Server on it?

I've made boot disks for that exact purpose, but it took me a while and was a real pain to do. Try Mick C's web site:
http://www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk/msdos.htm
At the very bottom he has "Microsoft Network Client Version 3.0 for MS-DOS". That's the util I used to make my disks and perhaps you can have better luck with it than I. If not, e-mail me and I'll try to walk you through it the way I did it.
yeah no quik way but very similar to you guys i used the MS Dos client ver 3 which you'll find on the winnt4 server cd Load the program to HDD and change the default dir from c:\net to a:\net you will have to make the diskette bootable yourselve and a final caveat you can fit the protocols netbeaui or ipx on one diskette but tcp/ip won't

Hi, I just got a new but old computer, something that I just can learn off of. I got it in pieces and I put it together and now when I try starting it up all it will do is give me two Error Messages. One is “Enter your hard drive information manually” or it will ask me for a boot up disk. I don’t have one so if someone could tell me how to make a boot up disk for dos that would be cool. I think it might have some kind of windows on it but I’m not sure which one. I just need to get past that error message then I think I know what I’m doing. Thanks

I've gotten it to work with multiple drivers, you cna select them from a menu, and with TCP/IP also. I am willing to help if anyone has tips for making a TCP boot disk in DOS to hit a netware 5.1 (ONLY ip) server. hehe
