Has anyone attempted to connect to a Win2000 shared resource (e.g. CDROM, hard drive) via DOS ? I've got a Gateway Solo 2100 with a bad CDROM drive...looking to install Linux onto the box remotely

It shouldn't be a problem. If you setup DOS networking services and make sure you have a valid login name and password to access the W2K machine then all should go well.
