Hi,
i use usbaspi.sys + di1000dd.sys for usb port.
when 2 drivers are loaded the cd rom it's not recognized correctly.
i've tryed to assign a high drive letter (ie N :)to cd rom with appropiate command on suscedex , but the problem remain the same.
Many thanks in advance for yous suggestion and..
merry christmas and happy new year

USBASPI.SYS are you using Panasonic version 2.20 ? it is contained in this Windows self-extracting file:

Have you tried SHSUCDX instead of suscedex ?

It may possibly be you need to have only one device on each USB controller.

A USB Controller will usually have two ports!

Also if it is a 486DX4 PC it is a version 1.0 USB, which was subsituted for version 1.1 on Pentium1 586 PC's, afaik, so it may also be a BIOS limitation!

A Pentium2 or later PC would be better to run *DOS..

I've also tryed on pentium 1 200 Mhz with 1 port usb on motherboard uhci and 4 ports ehci/ohci/uhci on PCI card.
I can view 2 device at the same time (digital camera and usb stick), but one of this have THE LOGIC LETTER OF CD ROM.
CD ROM it's not accessible if work usb drivers.
For "turn around" to the problem ,now i boot the drivers USB from a system disk on floppy drive A:.
Terminated the work i reboot and i can access to cd rom device.
But i think it's a stupid solulution..

usbaspi.sys + di1000dd.sys will assign the next available drive letter to any usb device(s) it finds. If the CD drivers are not loaded in DOS, the CD drive does not have an assigned letter.

What you may try to do is to assign a higher drive letter to your CD driver when loading the drivers, then you will know what it is.

With SHSUCDX, syntax would be SHSUCDX /L:Q, where "Q" is the letter to assign.

This is documented in the readme.txt file of the SHSUCDX download.
