computer wont boot to floppy

Well, I knew this was going to happen sooner or later, I got a virus on the computer, and now to fix it...Im suppose to use my Boot disk, but here's where the fun starts...my computer doesnt look for the A:drive first...goes right to C...please tell this DUMMY how to change it...and Im not kidding, I dont get into DOS at all....so complete and simple steps would be a huge help...thanks everyone!!!

First restart you PC and hit delete key to get into CMOS Setup Utility, Choose Chipset Features Setup then assign Boot sequence A,C Instead of C Only. This would make it boot the A: drive and your Boot Disk will be functioning.

I still have the same problem, won't boot to A.
Here's what I did so far: made a boot disk, from win 2000 changed cmos to A, saved changes, got out of cmos inserted the disk in to A(floppy) restarted computer the computer started, I saw the drive light come on at A: then said it did not have NTLDR the computer just sat there
