To run two operating systems on the same PC requires a boot manager to select the OS to be loaded at boot.
The setup depends on the OS already installed and requires a re-partition of the hard disk as usually each OS needs its own file system.
A simpler way is to download a virtual machine (there are many for free as MS Virtual PC or better VirtualBox) and then install the second OS into it. This way allows you run the two environments concurrently and with useful integration too.

If you want XP & DOS, install DOS first and XP will recognize the DOS and set up a boot menu.
If you don't want DOS you need to ask in the forum for one of the OSs. Like XP and... whatever you had in mind.
