Comment: I am working on a Compaq Armada 7792DMT with a 3com; 3C574TX PCMCIA network card. I need to boot this computer up from dos. I checked Compaq's sight and did not fined any dos drivers for the PCMCIA slots. Also, I did not fined any help on 3Com's sight. When I try to boot from a dos disk it will lockup when the card driver tries to load. The system drive (C:) has Windows 98 and the PCMCIA network card works fine. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Reply: (edit)go to: http://www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk/ and click open the PCMCIA card software page. You'll see a nice selection of card services software. One is sure to work for you. Just remember, you cannot (normally) load card software in DOS mode and then run Windows 9x. They will conflict. If you use config.sys drivers, do not plan on running Windows.

Reply: (edit)Thank you for the help Preston. I needed to image a laptop so I could rebuild 9 others with the same data. The software I use "Lab Expert" is dos driven.
