wiped out partition cant get it to boot up on hard drive it takes dos 6.2 than on reboot i get non system disk how can i get it back up and running it needs two partitions 1 non dos and 1 dos does any one have a restoration disk floppy only please help ive never ran into problems like this signed i learened my lesson !!!!!!!

... a classic "run-on sentence" Not sure if I completely understand your post. Try explaining in short sentences exactly what you've done and what you're trying to do. After fdisking and formatting, usu the first partition is made 'active' (bootable). Have you transferred the system files? (sys c: from the bootdisk) Generally a 'restoration floppy' isn't required for a disk that DOS6xx supports (I don't think) Hard to be specific at this point.

Goto www.compaq.com and follow links for Software & Drivers. Type in your model number and select Windows 3.1 to obtain DOS & System Drivers. Compaq setup disk will create its own utilities partition which is needed to access your BIOS. This is specfic to compaq laptops!

Please somebody help me. whenever this laptop starts it goes into the diagnosis AND computer information. I tried doing all the tests and its fine. When I try to exit from there, it goes back there again.. I dont know anything about this contura laptop. It used to work fine, until i started messing with it.... What can I do to get it to go to win3.1
