Comment:

Is there a way to change system settings (specifically keyboard set-up and the way the date is displayed) with a script? Our people in Europe like their dates displayed differently than we do here in the states. If this is possible, how would it be done. Don't usually work with win2000 or DOS so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, it is possible. Such information is stored on the Windows registry, and batch scripts can be used in order to automate changes on the Windows registry. On NT systems (such as Win 2000), the program REG.exe may be used from inside a batch file to do that.

However, you would have to find out where such information is stored, I mean, in which keys. That may depend on the OS, I'm not sure.

Once you have located which keys/values to change on which OS, post them here or email me them and I'll develop the rest for you.
