Changing default setting?

I've look in the archives but it appears this is not a problem other. I apologized if it has been answered already. I open DOS is already at C:\Documents and settins\Owner> which is NOT where I want to be, I realize is not a big deal to go cd\whatever but where and how do I change it for the thing to open at plain C: ?? thanks

While Windows XP DOS is not the 'Real Thing' and this is more of an XP Problem! It is however easy to solve!
Right Click the CMD.exe Icon (Or whatever it is called on your computer) Select Properties and change Target to C:\
CMD.EXE lives in C:\Windows\System32 if you need to create a Shortcut, and you can change Properties there as well.

Sure you have asked in the wrong forum. This is not a DOS problem at all, thus should be better posted in WinXP Forum -- Keep in mind there is no DOS in NT systems including WinNT/2K/XP+.
