I reformatted both my c & d drives. My cd-rom is not detected and I need to install win 95 from the cd. How can I get the cd-rom running again so i can install win 95 from there?

I was looking in this site for an answer to the same problem. If you by chance get any answers....PLEASE mail me back and HELP me if you can. I did the same thing, and my cd rom is not being read, and I need to install win98 from a disk. I can only get DOS mode, and have no clue how to work in DOS. If you by chance get help...let me know! You will be a life saver. I did this a week ago, and I'm a student at a Univ., and I'm having to borrow a friends Laptop to do all my work. I WANT MY COMPUTER BACK!!

From the website of the manufacturer of your cd-rom you may be able to find a driver for dos that allows it to read cd's. Creative has one for their drives.
