Hi I have an older pc Compaq Prolinea 5100. There are two HD, C: D: and a cd-drive. There is no DOS and no Windows installed in the C:drive. The problem is that I canīt get the cd to work I have tried with several boot-disks and several types of cd-drivers but the cd is not detected. I have checked that the cd-cable and cd-drive is ok. Right now I donīt know what to do next. Is there anyone that can give me some help. I appreciate any answer. Ted

Ted - if you had entered your e-mail address (as indicated by your name being underlined - or not), responders would have sent you driver discs etc. for testing.
You have to modify both config.sys and autoexec.bat in order for the cd drive to be recognised.
Good luck - Keep us posted.
