can't load operating system

OS: windows xp
CPU/Ram: pentium 3 not sure
Model/Manufacturer: dell dimension 4100

I have a dell dimension 4100. I recently replaced the hard drive and now I can't reload the os from the cd's I have. The message reads: Invalid boot diskette, Insert boot diskette in A: How do I get beyond this message and reload the os?

Get a new boot floppy.

Go into cmos/bios setup and set whatever drive you're trying to boot from as the first boot device.

Maybe this forum is not for you we deal with MS-DOS here and the last time I used XP (today) was unable to find any relevence to either XP or MS-DOS in your question
