Add these lines to the associated files...

-----[Config.sys]-----
Device=C:\Dos\Himem.sys
Devicehigh=any other device you were loading as Device= before - such as CD-ROM drivers
Dos=High,Umb

----[Autoexec.bat]----
C:\Dos\Emm86.exe

I think there are some switches on emm386 but it's been a long day and I am tired. Someone else will come along and correct me wherever I am wrong...don't worry. :)

Oh, just to prevent any smart-as- remarks from JR, she means DOS 6.2 where she says Windows 6.2. I know that you are incredibly perfect and never make such mistakes, so I am sparing you the trouble of reading such a mistake without someone having corrected it.

There is a more serious typo in DoOMsdAY
post. As a matter of fact you need to install Emm386.exe in Config.sys. So it must read actually:

-----[Config.sys]-----
Dos=High,Umb
Device=C:\Dos\Himem.sys
Device=c:\Dos\Emm386.exe NOEMS
Devicehigh=any other device you were loading as Device= before - such as CD-ROM drivers

You can use RAM switch instead of NOEMS if you want to have EMS memory along with UMB (Upper Memory Block). Without NOEMS or RAM switch there is no points to use Devicehigh command because you don't have UMB without them anyway.

Good luck, Igor
