I have a seagate scsi hd disk and i cant install my cd-rom drive at all. I have tried almost everything
I need it to install a novell intranet from the cd
What can i do??

You didn't say what type of cdrom drive that you are trying to install. If it's scsi (50 pin), you need to obtain the realmode dos drivers for your host adapter. The host adapter banner will appear when / if you boot from the scsi hdd. For example, an Adaptec 2940 host adapter would be set up as:
config.sys
device=drive:\dir\aspi8dos.sys
device=drive:\dir\aspibuf.sys
device=drive:\dir\aspicd.sys /D:cdromautoexec.bat
drive:\dos\mscdex /D:cdrom
For an IDE (40 pin) things are a little different. You need the dos realmode cdrom driver for your specific cdrom drive. Most newer cdrom drives will allow generic drivers as well.
config.sys
device=drive:\dir\cdrom.drv /d:xxxxx
autoexec.bat
drive:\dos\mscdex /d:xxxxx
Most of the ide drivers have a slight varience in the syntax, so it would tough it run through them all. A good place to start is www.bootdisk.com. Get a bootdisk, and watch the display to find which driver gets loaded.
