Reply: (edit) Actually, it is possible to run a batch file from Netscape and possibly other browsers according to a reliable source.
http://www.maem.umr.edu/documentation/application.launcher.html I have not experimented with this myself, but you can also ask Ted Davis in alt.msdos.batch
