Comment: I am curently planing on going back to dos.. the only problem I have right now is my internet... I've allready got a dos based i-net browser, but this works with a modem and as it seams that i have i-net via cable it will not work... so my question is is there any way to make the browser thingk that it's a i-net conection or is there a dos based i-net browser that supports i-net via cable modem???

Reply: (edit)Absolutely no problem. I use my cable connection in DOS all the time. Install the Packet Driver for your NIC (it's in the setup disks), download and install Arachne and when you come to the connection setup portion of the install choose Packet Wizard and then the [BootTP or DCHP] button. You'll be surfing in DOS in no time. If you have problems finding or installing your Packet Driver, just post back with the Make and model of the network card and I'll lend a hand.

Reply: (edit)search for "crynwr" if you dont find a DOS packet driver on the CD that came with your network card/cable or what not ---- crynwr's got a nice collection of packet drivers. Find the one for your network card, install it, and you're connected :D - W0rm
