bytes 16mb/08mb ?

was given an old IBM. did the fdisk and installed dos6.21 did chkdsk and came up with (212,619,264 bytes total) installed 95 upgrade and comp said 16mb. my 8mb has
(210,xxx.xxx) bytes total. so why the diff?
and how do I fix it.

could you explain it better.

you say youve got an old ibm with a 212mb hd, you installed windows and it told you you have a 16mb hd? or is that how much memory?

I think I understand your question
16mb = 212,619.264 bytes total
08mb = 210,xxx,xxx bytes total
whats the difference
who cares?
