Bios password

I have a bios password on an old computer. I want to know how to get by it or take it off without removing the cmos battery. please email me

If you know the password, then just use the cahnge password option in the bios setup and leave the new password blank. If you do not know the old one, you have to either remove the battery, or find the jumper that resets the password on the mother board.

find the jumper on the motherboard get a print out from the motherbord from the internet www.windrivers.com or any info. that you got from the motherbord where the jumper ist. Then take the jumper out and boot up the PC you will get a message on the screen after that turn of you PC and put the jumper back on that is ery important that you do that. good luck!!!

I got a laptop with password on BIOS

PhoenixBIOS Ver. 0213
Version 4.0 Relase 6.0

Does anybody know how to get over it?? I can run any OS but I wanna enable few things ad I can't do it at the moment.
