hELLO ALL CAN ANYBODY HELP THIS EXTREMELY NOVICE BATCH SCRIPT WRITER WITH THE FOLLOWING FOR A SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT Any help would be appreciated heaps!!!!! here is what I have to do: 1. upgrade client pc's to SP3 installation files are on the server so I need to use a login script and map drive and install locally... which I have done so far. 2. Next I have to disable the "Automatic Update" option in the REG. 3. Create a log of the event. also I must check installation drives space, install must run on 2000 machines only and be install on multiple systems via login script. thanks to all any little help would be great as I\'m stuck on this one. kmad21 ta!

In Windows 2000, you may use the program REG.EXE, which can handle changes on the redistry just fine. You can try figuring out how to do it by typing "REG/?" on the command prompt.
