Just got Windows 2000. Should I be able to expect to execute my old batch files from a DOS prompt like they did under Win98?

Also, is there any hope when my favorite DOS program is now not working from the command line? I just tried a program called "forcedos" in the command, but it didn't work.

Thanks

Since Win2k doesn't actually have DOS but just an emulator, it doesn't work the same. Many commands work different in the Win2k emulator. An example would be the "cls" command. In DOS, it clears the screen. In the Win 2k emulator, it closes the window. You may have to do some tweaking to get the batch file to work correctly.
