Subject: Bad Command or Filename at restart
OS: Win 98
CPU/Ram: Pentium II/ 192 MB
Model/Manufacturer: gateway
Comment:

When the computer is turned on/restarted etc, we get a message

c:\classpath=c:\ProgramFiles\Photodelux2.0
\AdobeConnectables
Bad Command or Filename
Press any Key to continue

when we press any key, start up resumes normally. There seems to be no problems with running anything, but this is just more of a nuisance. Any help to make it go away would be appreciated. Thanks

When your pc boots up, it uses two files:-

config.sys
autoexec.bat

Generally there is a facility (maybe F7 or F8) that allows you to process these files one step at a time, to identify which line is is causing the error.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

try... goto start > "run"
type REGEDIT [press ENTER]
(+)HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

... when you get to the "run" folder click.
... in the right window are "apps" that kick
in as windows starts.
Highlight the icon right click delete the entry associated with Photodelux2.0

It's coming from autoexec.bat at M2 says. Post back its contents if you're not sure which line is causing the problem. DON'T screw around with the registry.
