Comment: Hi, I am trying to get a backpack DVD +- RW to work in DOS and have failed on various different attempts. I need to get it enable so I can ghost various machines. Has anyone sucesfully donw this before. It's backpack dvd +- RW model number 224101.

Reply: (edit)My driver is called usb_cd.sys, the space also isn't an issue. I have used the duse driver aswell, also to no avail.

Reply: (edit)What version of USBASPI have you used, 1.07, 2.01, 2.06, or 2.15? Also note that USBCD.SYS and USB_CD.SYS could be different drivers. The former one comes from the "Motto Hairu" package, while the latter one is part of the DOS driver for some IBM USB CD drives, which usually hangs while loading on most systems.
