There are no "MSDOS and Compatible Drivers" for the Avance Sound Card Period.

Is there a setting in the BIOS for LEGACY SOUND BLASTER COMPATIBLE?

If so you MAY be able to use the SET BLASTER statement in AUTOEXEC.BAT, under MSDOS5.xx, 6.xx and 7.xx and compatible.

SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1

A = Port Address
I = IRQ
D = DMA

The above should match the settings in BIOS.

Please note this will NOT work under "EMULATION SOFTWARE or NT COMMAND PROMPT" in NT4, W2K, W2K3, XP as these Operating Systems do not allow direct access and will quite likely ignore the LEGACY SOUND setting in BIOS. If you are wanting to use EMULATION SOFTWARE try DOSBOX.
