need a little help,
wheni turn pc on, if i press f8 and choose load command line safe mode, i can start arachner and i don´t get errors, but if i load dos normally when i try to load arachner i get this error message "out of convencional memory" , so i will copy here my cinfig.sys and autoexect to see if anyone can help me :

now i can load arachne if i don´t use mouse on dos,
i downloaded mouse.com fro some site to be able to use mouse on dos,
like this arachne loads ,it will be a pian working with no mouse on the net....if i only discover how i will set up the internet, .. its cable , no dos drivers..gotta read some more..

well, if i wright NOEMS at the front of
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE RAM H=255 , arachne loads with mouse. but now i have a problem, i remember i cut that "noems" cus i wanted to work with impulse tracker, ..i guess this "noems" makes some problem with impulse tracker.. (insuficient memory when loading samples)
damn ..:(

actually wasn´t mouse.com , was mouse.exe .
now i downloaded mouse.com , i don´t wright mouse nothing related on config and autoexe, and its almost working well with both impulse tracker and arachne , well IT works well if i don´t load the mouse , ..
so mouse -n doesn´t work with mouse.com? can´t unload the mouse.com once loaded..

Don't mean to interrupt your monologue, however:
device=c:\windows\command\oakcdrom.sys /D:toscd001
... could try devicehigh there

DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\display.sys con=(ega,,1)
I doubt you really need that

c:\windows\command\mscdex /D:toscd001
... again, try lh to load high, and you could try a better (smaller, 5K) driver like VIDE-CDD.SYS
CuteMouse for DOS is a fairly small driver

You might consider running memmaker

OS=DOS? I don't think so - more like Win95(?)
The 'RAM' parameter goes after EMM386.EXE - do you really need 'H' for handles?
Saying that XP is the most stable MS OS is like saying that asparagus is the most articulate vegetable

For running Impulse Tracker, I have had the best luck using a DOS 6.22 boot disk. Just recently I decided to reinstall IT.
Do you have a link to any of your MOD files?
