I'm on high speed, and have never had any problem getting arachne (170) to connect..a couple weeks ago, it just stopped..i get 'unable to make connection'...windows (both NT and 31)still work OK, as does BeOS, so i know my connection's OK..from what i know of high speed, a browser like arachne would'nt be singled out for a refused connection (besides, even my 386 still connects..slowly, of course) I hadn't changed any settings whatsoever when this occured... Anyone have a clue? Thanx

Is the DOS network driver loaded properly? Can any other DOS browser(like Lynx) still work fine now?

I'm sure theyr'e all useful suggestions...but as i mentioned, i've been succesfully connecting with arachne for 18 months, and nothing changed, dos drivers loaded just the same as before, etc....it just happened out of the blue..absolutely no configuration changes at all...????? Maybe my ISP's got a new policy about dos browsers...seems unlikely tho.... And, no, i've not used any other dos browser as the rest have been a pain to set up.... I'll have a look at that GNU arachne , sounds interesting....
Summary: Although i've asked this question several times over the last couple of years, without success, i'll try again as the problem still occurs.. I have hi-speed (cable) internet access with which I have b...
