Yes very sincere, I do not visit much but it "cheeses me off" to have this forum becoming a dumping ground for any "not sure where it goes" postings.

As to the comment regarding X86, he is my mentor, and if you read his latest web page updates, he is still very much of the same attitude, I am trying to find the necessary hardware to be able to replicate his achievments by using MSDOS or equivelents as a STANDALONE OPERATING SYSTEM.....

I think all of the regular contributers here get a little vexed at the situation (I know I do). It is irritating to realize that for every actual DOS question answered there are about three or four 'redirect to the appropriate forum' replies (and I'm counting Win9x DOS - something of a grey area, but for the mostpart it's still MS-DOS, the command set is about the same).

Still, there is a warning presented at the posting page - I'm sure it stops some of the questions.

Not sure what else we can do - either advise each poster in turn, or else ignore them and/or mark the post for removal.

Bleat at me no longer.
