I was trying to run Ultima7 (circa '92) in DOS mode but the PC's and NPC's movements are *far* too fast. Anyone know how I can slow it down? Any programs out there for this?

There's slowdown utilities on the net for this, try a google search and you will find one that works for you :)

Does your computer have a 'turbo' button? My old 486DX266 has one, and when you press it, it actually lowers the multiplier instead of upping it, which will allow you to run your game in better time. As well, go download some slowdown utils or just get an older computer.

"Does your computer have a 'turbo' button?" gave me a good laugh. However, "or just get an older computer." is perfect advice. 486 DX4-100 or Pentium 120\133 is the cats-ass for old games and costs like fifty bucks max.

I'm confused Doofus, why would that make you laugh? I've got two nice old 486's with a turbo button.

Dude, I use my 486 for the best games ever. The Ultima series, the Might and Magic series (up to the Xeen games), Wing Commander series, SYNDICATE, etc... old computers rulz0r, man.
And so does the turbo button.

Summary: I recently installed a game that runs in DOS (Betrayal at Krondor) and I don't know how to play it. I've tried everything that I can think of, but I don't that much about DOS. If you can help me out...
