This is the DOS forum - are your questions related to DOS, the operating system (as per the forum description, top of the page) or to your stated OS, WinXP?

Posts not related to the focus of this forum are frequently removed

If you were actually banned, you wouldn't be posting at all

Hello,

What jboy said is correct. Your question probably belongs on the Windows XP forum (or the Programming forum if it is about batch files).

Well my topics were realted to command prompt in windows XP,
lots of the questions in win xp regarding batch files have remained unanswered and so many others have been answered here, and so the reason I posted the topic here,

But if the batch files for command prompt does not belong here, I will be posting them in WIN XP section,

I was surprised to see 2 of my topics being removed,
one about alternative methods of fidning IP address and the other using of start command,
I was thinking if there is something wrong with my questions

"I was thinking if there is something wrong with my questions"

Well... yeah

This forum is for all Standalone versions of DOS, not the "DOS" prompt contained inside later versions of Windows.

It's been a matter of some debate here, over the years, but the upshot is that if WinXP/2K 'command prompt' questions were allowed here, they would crowd out questions based on 'traditional' DOS (the focus of this forum).

Basically, those users aren't running DOS in the first place, and are better advised to make use of the appropriate Windows forum, or else Programming, as Justin mentions.

I will then be using Programming section,

It is just, I was surprised to see my topics disapearing.

I am not absolutely convinced that your posts "are" disappearing.

Are you sure that you are punching the "confirm" button after posting?
