Hello. I have MS-Dos 6.22 English, but I use the spanish language (keyb sp,,keyboard.sys in autoexec.bat). I don't use country.sys or such lines at config.sys. I have a spanish keyboard and my problem is that when I try to type the \ symbol (AltGr key + º) the system hangs. Anybody can help me?
Hold the Alt key down and type 092 on the numeric keypad to get \.
In fact, if you can't get any character, alt and the numeric equivalent on the numeric keypad will normally get you there. See the character map for the numeric equivalents.
Summary: I feel there is some silly mismatch between your keyboard and system setup that we are all missing here. From your original posting I am not clear whether the problem is on both your pc's or only on...
Summary: this is a common problem with w98 make sure you use the correct "|" it is the key next to the 1 in conjunction with the "Alt Gr" key (next to the space bar on the right)....... the shifted \ key next...
