I am trying to have enough space to download additional space on my computer for programs and for general operation. I purchased an external hard drive to store some things on however, I am still short on space therefore I thought I would add RAM to my PC as well, however when I add the new stick of RAM my computer won't work. When I take out the old stick the computer works and when I leave in the new stike only the computer works. I have two slots for RAM in my computer. Do need to only have one stick of RAM inorder for my computer to work or can my old RAM stick stay in as well? I have an IBM NETVISTA 8305 Desktop.

RAM has nothing to do with storage.

Neither has anything to do with DOS.

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

Net vistas usually had ram chips that are sync. You need to use two identical sticks.
