Comment:

I was trying to run my accpac on my back up cpu and I copied and pasted my data file from
my central cpu as I do every week and this
time I tried to create a new invoice in the
back cpu but when I hit O/E ENTER NEW INVOICE the backup computer put out an error message that files
OPERATING SYSTEM LIMIT REACHED
THEIR ARE TO MANY FILES OPEN
then when I press fail another message comes
up saying CANNOT OPEN FILE
C:\ASP\DATA\ICGLOB.DAT.
and now I can not enter any invoice on the
backup cpu. I have no Idea why this is happening. I tried to copy and paste the
old icglob.dat into the drive but that does not
work. Otherwise all other systems are working but you just cannot enter nay new invoice or credit note.

The only time I have seen that message is when there are not enough files allocated.
By default the number allocated in config.nt is 40.
If you go into both thee server and the terminal and change the file allocation in config.nt to 240 and reboot the machine you may solve the problem
