I know this is mainly for "DOS" but I could not find help anywhere... I have a 486 I had formated do to some probelms... I can't seem to get the cd-rom to work, I used a few other drivers but all are new ones... Does anyone know or have a 486 cd-rom driver that would help me??? I have "4" 486 and have the same problem with all... Please help if able thank you.

My experience is, that the driver vide-cdd.sys usually works well on most cd-roms. It all depends on the make of your cd-rom. See whats on it and look at the manufacturers website (if exists). Otherwise you might want to try www.drivers.com

Go to www.bootdisk.com There they have a set of 4 cdrom drivers for dos. They work on most Cd roms. Need more help? email me

Help! I have a cd-rom drive and the only thing I can find on it is MTRP. Please tell me what the heck that means!!! :-|
