For sure it's not 622

DOS7.1, found in Win95B & 98, among others

Why don't they make computers that will do what we think we want them to do?

DOS 7.10 can be downloaded from:

http://newdos.yginfo.net/msdos71.htm

it comes with an installer (it also is what jboy is talking about when he says "among others")

Bit of a presumption on your part (that you know what I'm talking about)

There are other versions of DOS besides M$

I know that, I assumed that because of the numerous insults you have given me about it in other posts. Yes I have heard of Free DOS, DR-DOS, and IBM PC-DOS, though I have never used them.

Customer: Do you have any mouse pads?

Salseman, pointing: Over there.

Customer: Great!, will they be comadible with my computer.

But y'see, it wasn't at all, so I'd advise you not to interpret what I or anyone else here says.

I've yet to actually insult you, but more & more it's becoming an attractive prospect.

Do I disagree with nearly everything you've posted? You bet I do - it's either wrong or irrelevant (often both)!

You're a pretty prolific poster for one who seems to know so little - you've only been around here for what? a month or two? If you have nothing useful to contribute, maybe consider not posting?

Don't delude yourself that you are 'helping' - your posts seem to be for your own benefit and no one else's.

Well, I have fixed at least 9 computers for myself, along that I have fixe my grandparents, my cousin's, my uncle's, and 3 of them for my highschool's robotics club. All my teachers ask me (and my family) about computer problems, and I have fixed 90% of them- not bad for a self-taught sixteen-year old!

Be that as it may - you're now in a forum comprised largely of adults many of whom have been working with computer technology quite literally since before you were born.

Yes, I'm sure you impress all your kiddie friends and teachers. If you want to impress anyone here, it'll be by the quality of your posts and nothing else.

Don't tell me your 'credentials' - I don't care. You're just beginning to learn the technology - and you could learn a lot from this site alone. More reading, less posting would be my suggestion.

Drop the last year into the silent limbo of the past. Let it go, for it was imperfect, and thank God that it can go.
