Where might I find Dos drivers for ESS sound card?

I've tried the ess site, but the driver readme says that it's for win 98. do you know of any sort of 'generic' dos (7.0 i believe) sound card drivers? Thank you very much for any input.

It may not need a driver, many DOS programs just talk to the sound card directly.
My ESS sound card doesn't need any.
