After having to reinstall Windows XP onto my PC, I updated drivers, reinstalled any programs that had pieces missing in "My Documents", and set the page file back where it was before reinstall. The problem I'm having is that I cannot play any videos of any type at full hardware acceleration. Attempting to do so causes my PC to lock up and my screen to blink. Whereas before the reinstall, I could play videos fine at full acceleration, after the reinstall they will only play at the lowest two settings. Upon entering task manager when the lockup occurs, it shows CPU usage at 100%. I've installed both K-lite codec packs, FFdshow codecs, Satsuki codecs, reinstalled Quicktime, DivX, and Xvid players, re-updated WMP to 10, and even tried using VLC media player, all with the same result. I am using an Nvidia 7800GS AGP on Forceware 91.47 (93.71 has too many errors)with DirectX 9.0c, an Audigy 2 ZS with the latest drivers, and 1.5GB of memory (most available for my board). How do I fix this error, as it seems it is causing decreased performance with some of my games as well?
