Windows Media Player stops playing

Winows Media Player 11 suddenly stops while playing DVDs.

It plays for a while, then stops at a frame as if you have paused the plyback.
Then, there is no way to make it play the video again.
It just hangs in there and that's it.

This same thing happens even with DVDs that you are playing from your hard drive.

Problem appears most often after you try to skip a portion of the movie using the slider.

It also does this when you start changing the language of the DVD or do other things in the root menu.
