Hi there.
Recently ive been having problems with my Windows Media Player 10. A while ago (id say 1 month), I signed up on a video site to stream .wmv files onto my windows media player to watch the movies. It worked perfectly fine for about 1 month, until Windows Media started to not cooperate with me. First, I would like to assure that there are no viruses, adware, spyware in the files and my computer. Internet and firewall (im not sure if that has to do with anything) is working good. Now, everytime I click on a .wmv file, *after watching a few movies/videos*, my windows media player won't start up. Like I said, this is the first time this has happened to me. I tried just opening the media player alone, but it still won't start up.
What Ive tried to do is, restart it everytime this happens. As soon as I log back in it works, but after watching a few videos or so, it won't start up. I tried using this on my computer downstairs, it worked perfectly fine, but the other one does not. Ive noticed something as soon as I restarted or shut down the computer, it says "Media Event Sink" is closing (like the window when you try to end the task of the program). It does not close automatically, so I had to wait until the process was done, before I had to manually end the task. Though restarting does work, I was wondering if there was anything wrong with it. And how to fix it thanks.

did you try a system restore?
Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
