I have no trouble editing or authoring video files for dvds, and in fact can burn dvd's with success using win dvd.
I am currently trying to burn television shows onto dvds. The problem i have is that while my projects contain anywhere from five to seven episodes, only three or less actually get burned onto the dvd itself.
All episodes on the project fall within the specified amount of space able to fit on the dvd, yet only a fraction of them make it onto the disc.

When burning DVDs the videos are converted from their original format to the DVD format. DVDs are 'usually' recorded at 720x480 and at a pretty high bit rate. This means that they 'can' take up more space. It appears that you may be recording the TV shows at a lower than DVD quality. You can check your DVD recording program to see if it will record at about the same quality that your originals are.
