Is the card locked physically? There is a wee slider system on some cards?

Did the card work ok until now?

Is the card full?

What happens if you connect the card to a computer - via the card reader slot or a suitable adapter; is the card accessible then?

The card is locked, until I push it inside and it's releases easy.
Yes, it worked OK till now.
The card is not full.
I will connect the camera to the computer, and will see if the memory card will be accessible then...
Thanks.

If you can remove the card from the camera and then connect (as in my previous above) to a computer, I suggest it would be a better way to check the card?

This is the manual for your Nikon:

Incidentally try to stay with one post; you appear to have on the same topic. Suggest you stay with this one now?

You say 'The card is locked, until I push it inside and it's releases easy.' That's not what trvlr meant, although it's good to verify it's in the card slot securely.

Some SD cards have a slider switch along one edge. If it's in the 'write protect' position then nothing can be put on the card.
