Can someone advise me which capture card to buy for editing with Premiere Pro? I need to convert some media files into mpegs etc using an external dvd player. I don't mind if the card has a tv/radio tuner. I'm looking for a card thats not too old & that works with ease (wishful thinking) & is compatible with premiere pro. Please help anybody Thanks

Just about any SOFTWARE card will work.....BUT... software cards use your computer and some software to do some of the data processing so you have to make sure you have a newer computer to keep up with the fast pace of video.
A HARDWARE card has its own processor and uses very little in terms of computer resources so it will work on even older, slower machines....BUT.... hardware cards usually record direct to MPEG1 or 2 and don't like to work with programs other than the manufactures software. (but you can simply import he capture to an editor of your choice)
