Hi, I am in the market for a quality 17" monitor for videoing and photograph preferabley with DVI but there are so many on the market and I am confused. Any recommendations would be helpful.

Dunno about 17" but I'm using a 19" Acer AL1916A which has DVI, an 8mS response time and 700:1 contrast ratio. (The B version is cheaper but not as good). Works very well for digital photography in conjunction with my Lumix FZ30 camera. Cost was $350Can. Acer make a 17" version which is much the same, and will have a finer resolution as the dots will be closer. Look for one which has a similar or better contrast ratio and response time.
