Whenever I try to save certain pictures, it will only let me save as a .png or .bmp. Whichever I try, whenever I try to bring the picture up, it shows it as a dot, and lists it as "1 pixel x 1 pixel". Why is this and how can I change it? (I use IE 6 on a Windows XP) Thanks for your time!

The usual solution is to delete your Temporary Internet Files including all offline content. More help at the link below.

Hmmm....no dice. I deleted all my Internet Files, made sure my "Do Not Save Encrypted Pages To Disk" box was clear, and I don't use AOL. And now's there's no choice for a .png or .bmp, now it's just .bmp. And as before, it's coming up as a 1 x 1 pixel picture. Thanks for the reply!

Oh! I almost forgot! I've also done the "Registry Editor" as well with no result. Thanks for your time!

dajunkie,
When you delete your Temporary Internet Files under the General tab of Internet Options when the pop-up windows appears make sure that you checkmark the "delete all offline content" box.

Also Try the following:

Remove Bad Downloaded Program Files:

1. Open IE
2. Click Tools
3. Click Internet Options
4. Click General Tab
5. Under Temporary Internet files, click Settings
6. Click View Objects
7. Look at the Status column. Right click on the files listed as either Unknown or Damaged, and then select Remove from the context menu.
8. Confirm with Yes
9. Close the remaining windows by clicking OK

If the above does not work, you may have to remove all the files in the Downloaded Program Files folder.

Also check out the link below especially under:
If you follow these steps, and the issue still occurs, move the Temporary Internet Files folder to a new location. To move the folder, follow these steps:

Boy, I'm batting 1000 right now...I've removed all Downloaded Program Files, as well as moving my Temporary Internet Files Folder. And now, instead of just .bmp, I also have .png. However, neither do anything different. They just show up as a 1 x 1 pixel dot. Thanks for the reply and help!

dajunkie, Click Start>Run and copy & paste or type in:

Regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll

Click OK.

Note that the spacing is important.
