Hey guys, I have a quick question for you...I need to transfer Hi8 videos to a DVD, and I wonder what's the best FPS to use without the video looking jumpy? Whatever I set it at, the video is always jumpy. If you could help me with this, I would be grateful.

The 'standard' FPS is 29.97 or 30 FPS. But there are other factors that affect quality. Resolution, KB/s, plus others

As you up the resolution and KB/s the quality improves and the file size increases. It's a trial and error thing to see what makes you happy.

'Standard' is not the right word. Most used is probably better.

Ok, thanks very much, ham30 for the info! BTW, do you know of any good freeware AVI to MPEG-2 converters?

Sorry RWD1996, I sure don't. But I use the AVS video converter, and like it.
