Solved What base coat paint used on a CD before ink jet labeling?

Specs: Windows 64, Intel i7 , 8 Mb
What type of white spray paint "base coat" can I use on CDs to prep them for Ink Jet Labeling.
Must it have some type of clay properties for good drying and no smearing while in my Epson Artisan or other Ink Jet Printers?

I don't know the answer to this but you are right to be concerned. The disc writes below the protective layer which us just beneath the label:

I think you'll have a problem finding paint that will stick. The smooth surface of the disk is going to invite chipping of dried paint. Ideally you'd want to scuff the surface with light sandpaper but of course you can't do that as it would ruin the disk. Also the disks are slightly flexible which again increases the likelihood of chipping.

You may want to take some disks to a Sherwin Williams or other paint store and see what they think.
