Not sure if this is the right forum for mu problem. I have a Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 and have been trying to get webcam sessions going with my sister in Elliot Lake (I'm in Ottawa). Video goes through OK. I can see her and she can see me, but the audio doesn't go with the video. We have to resort to recording clips and then send those. That sucks.
I've read somewhere that the Windows Firewall could be at fault but my settings have an exception for my camera. Could it be my router? Does the router have a firewall? It's a Linksys. I can record video and audio on my own and everything is fine. Any one else have experience with webcams?

I use windows messenger, under tools, there is an audio webcam wizard. Skype I think also has a wizard of some sort.
Before posting try google. Backup. Use anti virus software.

When I try to run the audio/video setup I get a message saying "We are unable to run audio and video setup." I tried unistalling Windows Live Messenger and reinstalling it but still get the same message. I have no idea why I can't adjust my audio or video. At the time I don't have the webcam active because I thought that was the reason when I first tried it.
