webcam error

CPU/Ram: 600 mhz 256 mb ram

hello. i purchased a webcam from ebay a few months ago and it was working fine. now when i install the webcam everything works except when i try to use it. when i click on the program an error message comes up saying: Error 80004005: Cannot run preview graph. the driver is installed and everything. this is very frustrating. any help will be very much appreciated. thank you. jeremy

The first thing I would do is delete everything and reinstall it - if you still have problems look for updated drivers on the manufacturers site - you often find that a slightly later models software is also compatable with yours

I have had that error with a Hauppauge tuner card more than once. It was fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers like Rayok123 suggested.

i installed the webcam again and found out what the problem was and fixed it. now the camera is blurry and i tried cleaning the lens but nothing works. any suggestions?

is there a (manual) focus ring aroung the lens ?
