I currently have a spare 22inch wide screen monitor I would like to put to use as a TV. I don't have a spare computer to use as a media center, so I'm looking for a device that will work as a TV tuner and output to a DVI/HDMI plug.

I want to be able to receive standard cable channels as well as ClearQAM channels (nothing encrypted).

Will any "set top box" with a DVI/HDMI output work? Is there something special I should look for? Any suggestions on a cheap option?

My guess you ain't going to find it cheaper than a new LCD monitor with TV installed.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
