Hi there!!!!
I have a nvidia gforce fx 5200 256 mb. Every time I use Adobe encore 1.5 to make a DVD menu, and I have to transcode a video (render it) or convert it to MPGE 2, the result is the video upside down. I beg for help!!!
Thank you

My guess is that you have a switch set wrong on your video editor. Many video editors are capable of inverting while rendering.

With Pinnacle studio for example, I can not only turn it upsidedown, but sideways as well... just have to hit the right switch.

I don't use adobe (don't like it a smuch as Pinnacle) but look somewhere for an "invert video" switch.

The original file is captured using YUY2 format avi, and transcoded to mpg2? Try using a different avi format. Its an old problem. TMPenc works around the issue.
As does Nero.
