I have hit a wrong button when trying to change wording on desk top. in "accesories" The wording "video mode not supported" apears on screen & seems frozen. I cannot get back into computer desk top Have tried turning computer off but this wording keeps coming up on start up. please help!! PS. OS is windows XP not vista

Boot up in safe mode and lower the screen resolution and maybe the refresh rate.
Tap the F8 key during a boot to get the boot menu.
